No one else finds this AT ALL disconcerting? Not even a little bit?

Here’s why there is no media coverage, folks: because the media literally can’t get in there.

Many think Black people in America whine about injustice and racial profiling when it comes to the police, the system. Race in America is important. Things don’t change unless those things begin to affect white Americans. That’s America.

Keri has really gotten good at dealing with the hecklers…kudos, girl.

Bell Hooks, Are You Still A Slave?: Liberating The Black Female Body

remember when y’all heathens on this site tried to drag bell hooks for this? cause i do. truly incredible.

we didn’t drag her for this we dragged her for calling beyoncé a terrorist

Exactly. What she’s saying in this instance makes sense but calling Beyoncé a terrorist is extreme.

From what I gather, because of the way she was posed on this year’s Time magazine cover, Beyoncé represented anti-feminism because she is adhering to standards of beauty set by men.

Which is interesting because on the other hand, isn’t claiming ownership of your body a part of feminism? This is why Bell calling Beyoncé the “anti-feminist” makes no sense to me. Being “modest” is such an old way of thinking. Women shouldn’t have to be shamed into always hiding themselves under clothing.

Also, it’s frustrating when people constantly attack Beyoncé without mentioning her talent, incredibly hard work or things she’s done for the community. It’s rather unfair.

Wake up early. Drink coffee. Work hard. Be ambitious. Keep your priorities straight, your mind right and your head up. Do well, live well and dress really well. Do what you love, love what you do. It is time to start living.
